"Can't Stop The Show: The Return Of KIX" Documentary
American hard rock band Kix released their documentary Can’t Stop The Show came out in the second half of 2016, and it was not only showing the recording of Kix’s comeback album, Rock Your Face Off, it also shows how the music industry has changed at its core, since the 80’s that is. The evolution of Kix is one to be talked about. Kix discusses how they recorded in the late 70’s to the early 90’s to the 21st century. Can’t Stop The Show features musicians like Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Jeff Labar (Cinderella), Jaime St. James (Black N’ Blue, Warrant), and more, discussing how Kix has impacted their lives in different ways. Radio Hosts Keith Roth and Luc Carl are featured alongside Eddie Trunk discussing how Kix hasn’t missed a step in their comeback. Between Steve (Whiteman)’s comedy to seeing how Mark (Schenker) has come to be a perfect fit for Kix, Can’t Stop The Show is surely a hit. Fans get to see the story behind their favorite new Kix songs and for the aspiring musicians, it shows how recording is not as simple as it may seem. Producer Taylor Rhodes is able to pick apart songs and piece them back together with the help of the band, all taking place at Kix bass player, Mark Schenker’s house. The Kix comeback album Rock Your Face Off debuted at #49 on the Billboard Top 200, that makes it Kix’s second highest-charting album. Can’t Stop The Show is the behind the scenes more bands should be doing.
